Hi can you please contact me at the below email. I am having a dispute with a client of mine regarding the date stamp on some photos taken with the ” dated camera” app. I am happy with your app but they are saying that the date stamp can be altered and changed etc after the photo has been taken which as far as I know it can’t.
Can you please email exactly how the app works. ie I need clarification on the following,
* Can the date stamp be altered on the picture after it has been saved?
* Is the date stamp basically the same as a date stamp on a regular camera. ie the way it is stamped onto the photo.
* Is the app suitable for commercial purposes to accurately record for example when a job was done?
The people in question think that i have altered or added a time stamp to the photos after I have taken the photo. The time stamp is added to the photo directly after the photo is taken by using the phones time and date, is this correct?
I would appreciate your reply this is a very urgent matter that I need to sort asap.
Thanks very much
Thanks for using the app and your comments are welcome.
Let me explain how the app works indetail, hope it helps.
1.The app use the iPhone camera to take photo (as an image).
2.The app get date and time of the iPhone.
3.The app “write/draw” the date and time on the photo.(draw on image)
4.Save the photo to the iPhone photo album.
Regarding your questions, here are my answers:
Q1:Can the date stamp be altered on the picture after it has been saved?
A1:The photo (including the date stamp) is just an “image” file, you can alter it like any other image file.
Q2:Is the date stamp basically the same as a date stamp on a regular camra. ie the way it is stamped onto the photo
A2:Yes, it is.
Q3:Is the app suitable for commercial purposes to accurately record for example when a job was done?
A3:I’ve never thought about this usage and I don’t recommend you to do so.
At last, the app was developed for a simple reason – to remind myself when the photo was taken, that’s all.
Please let me know if there’s further questions or comments, thanks.
I used the app to take several pictures and at the end notice that they did not save to my camera roll. So my question is, is there anything I can do to locate the pictures
or are they lost?
Thanks for your feedback.
Please let me know which iPhone model/iOS version you used then I’ll do some tests.
Basically the app works SLOW, so you have to wait a while for the app to save picture, then you take another photo.
